Content Analyst
Do you want to help us on our journey to build the ultimate online playground?
What this job is about
Poki's game offering showcases HTML5 game developers globally, and searches for content from curated game data to provide best-in-class experience for our audience. Your mission will be to measure and understand the performance of our game library and translate this into learnings for our content curation, and our broader product strategy.
To achieve this your job is about several key responsibilities:
- Optimise the data you work with by driving data analysis on our game library.
- Help our teams and game developers improve developer distribution quality over time.
- Identify data and insights that help the team make better product decisions.
- Set up and support data-driven approaches for new game offerings.
In a nutshell, it's the role for someone that loves games across the board at an incredible capacity, and draws on the analytical and data-driven side for sustainability.
Your challenge as a Content Analyst
- Use the data in our platforms to surface and highlight games with high potential, and help us improve our decision-making on which games build the best consumer experiences.
- Align the team's subjective gameplay developer discussions with data from external game and content analysis, surfacing data from the market to help us make better bets.
- Research trends and market developments across the broader gaming landscape. Apply it to our product and platform.
- Optimise current processes (scouting, publishing, quality, content) and bring new ideas to the broader team about how to improve content discovery through data.
You
- Are analytically curious; you have a true experience in or love for data analysis.
- Are thorough, and especially skilled at summarising concisely.
- Are practical, action-oriented: with the need to be creative in your data distribution. Balancing the art and the science of understanding games.
- Are strong quantitative skills combined with SQL, BigQuery, Spreadsheets or similar tools.
- Have experience with building key business data flows (tables, dashboards, and query management).
- Are fluent in English in general.
- Have a love of/or a background in games.
Bonus experience
- Experience with Looker/Tableau, and/or data science or other programming languages that enhance analytical depth.
- Media, digital or any relevant experience working with advertising platforms.
